This is such a joke haha. God created us? No, not exactly, we were simple organisms and no humans do not have the right to take and rule the land. We just so happened to develop bigger brains while the rest of the species stayed a little less “complicated”. And only because of that complication, Hitler, Mao, Stalin and bin Laden did what they did. Humans are not logical, they just think they are. We are smart in certain aspects but selfish in almost all. We eat animals because it’s a food chain, there used to be animals who ate humans and there are still animals who eat humans right now. Guess what? Humans broke the food chain by out-smarting the animals. They make weapons to defend themselves, and break the natural food chain. Also, I like how you don’t mention the over-hunting of the Elk by humans but you mentioned that certain animals ran rampant and killed off certain weaker species.

Anyhow, if that’s your take on “ruling the Earth”, good luck having your grand children living through the 21st century or the next. It’s people like you that ruin earth.

And how to you arrive at these conclusions, this sense of right and wrong, if there is no God and we are a cosmic accident.
If there is no God, “all things are permissible” and all law is a social convention which means Hitler was free to do what he did (and Mao & Stalin & bin Laden ….). We have no basis to judge what any person or society deems right, or wrong.
So, why do you hold these views….

1. there is no such thing as god. the bible was written by men who believe they are the supreme race so of course some dickhead is going to spin some nonsense about us being created in gods image.
2. humans destroy as much if not more than they create.
3. its just ridiculous to feel we have the right to kill animals out of inconvenience to us.

This is in response to ‘cavman’s comments. I agree with Amanda, animals should have every right to be here as humans. The whole ‘created in God’s image’ thing is bullshit. Lets not drag religion into this. You’re saying because a book tells you that animals dont have souls and even though they have emotions, can learn, and feel pain that just because humans view themselves as superior (more technologically advanced) that you have every right to kill them? If this god created animals meant to be killed by humans for entertainment, food, whatever they please then why be sick enough to have them feel pain? In the end everyone needs to sit down and fucking think a little. What gives people who murder animals the right to do so? Because they’re more intelligent? I sure hope we find intelligent life somewhere in the trillions of stars in the universe and they have the same views as you humans. Maybe after someone starts killing your kids and mounting their heads on display and eating them you’ll start thinking twice about the sick shit you humans do.

I’m not judging anyone’s views, they are your right to have your own, but I do have a question for those who claim that killing animals is wrong. You are aware that canines, felines, ursine, arachnids, etc kill and eat other creatures, right? If we are all equal in our rights to survive, then either you should be trying to force vegatarianism onto all carnivores and omnivores OR shouldn’t you accept that humans are naturally omnivores and that our bodies were designed/evolved to function best when animal products are part of our diet.

Also to those who claim that only humans kill for reasons other than eating, google it. Animals kill for food, but they also kill over territory, mates, protecting their offspring, and in rare cases, just because. The case of the Tsavo lions who ate nearly 140 railway workers before they were finally hunted down. If we all have equal rights to follow our nature, except humans as animal rights dictate, then those lions should have left alone to eat as many innocent people as they desired.

I am not attacking, I just wanted to make you think. Would you feel the same if it was you one of your family? If one of these carnivores you demand rights for was trying to kill you or your children, would you want the people standing around to turn away and let nature take it’s course? I doubt it. But then again, maybe I am wrong…

I guess you didn’t imagine posting that pic would create such controversy.

I’m not against killing pests such as rabbits when their presence results in the destruction of native species such as in Australia. However, I don’t agree we should kill animals just because they are ‘interfering’ with a farmers crops. We need to protect our livelihood as well as protecting animals. There is room in this world for both. We are not above animals, we need to work with them.

This is ridiculous.
Animals (including people) operate under universal laws of territory and diet. The rabbit eats vegetables. The farmer eats vegetables. The farmer, being the more powerful predator, kills the rabbit due to its encroachment on its (the farmer’s) territory, and the farmer gains the disputed territory for itself. There is no question of whether it was the farmer’s “right” or whether the rabbit or its ancestors “was there first”.
Please stop anthropomorphizing these creatures; it does more harm than good.
