…, the first day of Hurricane Season. And here is our first, much-needed tropical storm making its way up the peninsula. The drought-parched turf and forests need it.
This day is actually depressing because in central FL we get inundated with news stories on hurricane preparedness. Weren’t most of us here in 2004? Don’t people talk to neighbors (assuming they moved to FL since 2004)? Don’t people have …. never mind.
Although El Nino is now done (this greatly reduced the number of hurricanes predicted by the global warming alarmists), it has been cooler than normal (ahem, gwa’s) and maybe that will reduce our hurricane risk this year. Here’s hoping (and praying) for a yawner of a season.
